Question Factions Toon access to Essence Bond ??

I have been putting a well known solo build together for FoW and UW which involves a N/Mo.

Part of this build utilises the Monk skill- Essence Bond.

Here is the complication:

My Necro /Mo is a Cantha born toon, so I have been spending a lot of time capping skills in Prophecies, SS, and the like.

However, I can not find Essence bond,......I have seached the web forums and the listed skill trainer locations, Beetletun and Fisherman's haven do not list this skill.

Can I access this skill at all ??
Can this skill be obtained by Signet of Capture from anything ?

Or have I hit a brick wall with my build ?

This isn't the only timie I have encountered this, I had to get to Ascalon before I found one of the skills, but it was there.

Please reply I am really annoyed now, I just hope I haven't spent many , many hours in vein.

Unlock it with faction and buy it in Lion's Arch. That's what I'd do.

Then go back in with My Factions N/Mo and the skill will be there for me to buy in LA ??

Yes, any Prophecies non-elite skill you have unlocked on your account (questing, buying with faction points etc.) can be bought from any Prophecies skill trainer.

??_?? Only PvP characters can use the skills you unlock for any character. Not RPG characters.

Unlocked skills, except elites of course, can be bought from skill trainers. This was added in 09 March 2006 update.

I remeber getting essence bond in Beetletun. Purchasing from the skill trainer there. Now with the skill trainers having all unlocked skills.....
My understanding is they have all the skills they did before that update plus the unlocked skills. So you should be able to take your Cathan character to Beetletun and buy the skill out right without a Prophecies character getting it first.

Either this is untrue or it is incorrectly interpreted, as one of the skills I was looking for had two Skill trainer listing locations, Yaks bend and Ascalon city,....the one at Yaks didn't have it, but when I reached Ascalon (I had gone too far to give up ) it was there for me,....Strange.

@ Ignis: a "toon" is a nickname sometimes used for a Character (Abreviated to Charr).

online RPG usage of 'toon' goes back a lil bit. I've heard its use in both sacred and diabloII... albeit its never taken over as the dominant isotype

AFAIK 'toon' stems directly from roger rabbit etemylogically speaking.

I hadn't ever heard toon until I came to this game. I asked a guildie and he sid it is more widely used as the term from world of warcraft because thier characters looks so cartoonish.
